Nela é que será possível fazer coisas incríveis, como por exemplo, ler os jogos diretamente de qualquer HD externo. Não vou entrar nos detalhes técnicos desse desbloqueio, mas quem tiver interesse acha fácil tutoriais pela net. Antes de falar sobre o potencial do Xbox com RGH instalado, vamos aos “materiais” necessários – Xbox 360 com desbloqueio RGH óbvio; – Um HD Externo de qualquer marca com a Freestyle instalada e configurada aconselha-se acima de 500 GB de espaço; – Um HD externo para Xbox oficial da Microsoft pode ser o tamanho mínimo, servirá para colocar os DLCs e será necessário para rodar jogos de Xbox 1; E aqui alguns programas úteis, que você facilmente encontrará para baixar em vários sites – Xbox Iso Extract serve para converter a ISO do jogo no formado GOD Games on Demand; – Yaris serve para desbloquear DLCs e passar jogos XBLA de demo para full; – Genesis Plus 360 emulador de Mega Drive; – Z26x emulador de Atari; – Arquivo “Compatibility” para rodar jogos do Xbox clássico; Bem, vamos começar de trás para frente, ou seja, da última geração para a mais antiga. 1. Jogos Xbox 360 e XBLA Para rodar os jogos do Xbox na Freestyle, você deverá colocá-los em um HD Externo. O primeiro passo é baixar o arquivo de imagem do jogo .iso no seu PC, que você acha nos sites de downloads e torrents da vida. Uma vez de posse da .iso, o próximo passo será extraí-la, usando o programada Xbox Iso Extract. É de fácil uso, bastando apenas selecionar a pasta de origem e a pasta de destino. Dependendo do jogo pode demorar um pouco, mas vale a pena, pois diminuirá consideravelmente o tamanho de 7gb por exemplo, tem jogo que fica com 4, às vezes até 2gb. Em seguida, é só copiar a pasta do jogo para seu HD Externo. Crie uma pasta “Jogos” ou “Games” na raiz do seu HD. Depois vá na Freestyle, em configurações, “Manage Game Paths”. Basta colocar o caminho da pasta no seu HD que irá reconhecer. Pronto, basta ir no menu “Xbox 360” e aproveitar. Às vezes ocorre do nome do jogo ficar estranho, mas basta renomeá-lo. Jogos com mais de um DVD aparecerão repetidos. Por exemplo, Max Payne 3 tem 2 DVDs, logo aparecerá duas vezes. Também é possível conectar-se à internet e ir na opção “refresh artwork” para baixar as capas dos jogos. A última versão da FSD vem com opção de visualização de capas em 3d. O mesmo vale para jogos XBLA – Xbox Live Arcade. São aqueles joguinhos que a Microsoft vende pela Live, como Sonic 4, I am Alive, etc. Também há vários jogos antigos que foram convertidos para XBLA, como Doom, Duke Nukem, Marvel vs. Capcom e por aí vai. Quando você baixar os jogos, geralmente eles vêm com um código na pasta ao invés do nome do jogo. Todos os jogos XBLA começam com “584…” alguma coisa. Crie uma pasta na raiz do HD chamada “XBLA” e jogue essa pasta “584…” dentro de XBLA. Novamente, vá em “Manage Game Paths” para que a Freestyle possa achar os jogos, que aparecerão no menu “Xbox Live Arcade”. Existem packs de jogos para baixar via torrent que trazem mais de 400 jogos para se divertir. A maioria já vem desbloqueado, mas se você baixar por exemplo uma “compilation”, como era o caso de Limbo / Xplosion Man / Trials HD, eles geralmente vêm como demo. Aí basta usar o programa Yaris para converter para full antes de copiar para o HD. 2. DLC´s DLC significa “Downloadable Content”. São conteúdos extras dos jogos que as companhias disponibilizam, sejam pagos ou gratuitos. Personagens extras em jogos de luta, ou missões extras em jogos de ação e aventura, por exemplo. Novamente, você pode baixar através de sites ou torrent. Depois, desbloqueio-os pelo Yaris. Há a opção de desbloquear por outro programa, o XM360, mas esse você tem que instalar no próprio Xbox. Feito isso, pode copiar pra uma pasta temporária no HD, mas esse não vai ficar no HD. Teremos que copiar os DLC´s para a pasta do jogo no próprio Xbox. Assim como XBLA, os DLCs vêm em pastas com códigos. Essa pasta deve ser copiada para a pasta Content/000000000000 que fica no HDD1 do xbox. Você pode fazer isso via File Manager. Depois, é interessante que, conectado à internet, você vá nas opções do jogo e em “Manage Updates”, já que alguns títulos precisam de atualizações Title Updates – TU para rodar as DLCs. Aí é só entrar no jogo e se divertir. 3. Xbox 1 Sempre bom lembrar que o Xbox clássico tinha muitos dos jogos que rodavam em PC, ou equivalentes no PS2, então é como rodar os jogos da década passada/retrasada também. O processo é basicamente o mesmo que o do Xbox 360 baixar o jogo, extrair a iso alguns já vem até extraídos, jogar no HD e “patchear”. Porém, a Microsoft, que não é boba nem nada, exige que se tenha seu HD Externo oficial acoplado ao Xbox para que os jogos clássicos funcionem. Tendo o HD, basta jogar o arquivo “Compatibility” hackeado no HDDX. Os jogos de Xbox 1 aparecerão no menu “Xbox Classic”, mas nem todos são compatíveis. Há uma lista dos jogos que rodam na wikipedia, então é bom dar uma conferida nessa lista antes de sair baixando 4. Emuladores da Segunda Geração Mega Drive, Snes, etc… Há uma ampla gama de emuladores que você pode baixar para se divertir. As ROM´s são as mesmas que rodam em qualquer plataforma. Então, se você é fã de Mega Drive, por exemplo, basta baixar o Genesis Plus que é o emulador de Mega para Xbox, jogar numa pasta “Emuladores” do seu HD Externo e “patchear”. Os emuladores aparecem no menu “Homebrew”. Você pode jogar as ROMs nessa mesma pasta e se divertir. Esse emulador de Mega, no entanto, ainda não consegui fazer funcionar os 6 botões ou jogar em 2 players. 5. Emulador de Atari O z26x é, na verdade, um emulador para Xbox Clássico. Então, quando você jogar ele no seu hd externo junto com as roms, obviamente, ele aparecerá no menu “Xbox Classic”, como se fosse um jogo qualquer. Isso é verdade em parte, o Xbox 360 RGH realmente não entra na Live e se entrar é ban na certa. Mas o desbloqueio RGH/JTAG tem sua prória rede para jogar online gratuitamente. Para saber quais jogos são compatíveis, é só entrar no site da XboxUnity e ver a lista dos jogos disponíveis para jogar online de graça no Xbox 360 RGH. O mais jogado é o COD Black Ops 2. Para jogar online depois de ter feito as configurações, basta entrar no jogo, apertar o botão de menu no controle e navegar até a opção System Link e apertar o botão A. – Logo em seguida selecione a sala public room que tem mais jogadores online. Note que depois que você estiver logado em uma public room, ficará um ícone em formato de controle na cor amarela. – – Depois de ter feito todos os procedimento acima, basta ir na opção de multiplayer multijogador do seu game e escolher a opção conexão de sistema e depois selecione entrar no jogo, no Black ops 2 é assim. Em outros jogos as opções de multiplayer podem ser diferentes. The only way to know for absolutely 100% certain is to open up the console and remove the heatsink and take a look at the XCGPU. In the Corona consoles they still have an IHS integrated heat sink an on the Winchester motherboards they do not. If your XCGPU looks like below, it is a Winchester and CANNOT be modified! You need to check the NAND first to ensure what steps you need to take to RGH your Corona. Once you verify your NAND Type, check for POST_OUT and ensure that you can read and write, then follow the steps in the NAND Reading section. POST_OUT Identification Check near point STP501. If you can see the traces left image, you DO NOT need a POST FIX adapter. If you have no traces right image, you NEED a POST FIX adapter. Required Items Xbox 360 Opening Tool Recommended, but not required A NAND Reader LPT Slowest NAND-X or JR-Programmer Better XFlasher Best Approx 50CM 28AWG or thinner wire ALL Phats 1x 1n4148 or similar Diode. J-Runner with Extras Forum LinkStep 1 Connect your NAND Reader to your Xbox, and to your PC. Connect the power supply of the Xbox. DO NOT TURN ON YOUR XBOX 360 WHILST THE NAND PROGRAMMER IS CONNECTED. YOU MAY KILL THE CONSOLE AND OR YOUR PROGRAMMER. Open J-Runner with Extras. It should automatically detect your NAND Reader of choice and display your console type under the "Console Type" box in the upper right. If it doesn't, Press the ? Button to make sure your Programmer can see your console properly. If you don't get a result, check your programmer wires before continuing! Read 2 copies of the existing NAND by pressing the "Read NAND" button, waiting for it to finish, then pressing Read NAND again. Now that you've backed up your Retail NAND, you need to grab your CPU Key. We do this by Flashing Xell Reloaded to the console by Ensure the Console Type shows your console type, Select "Glitch2", then tick the RGH3 Tickbox, like shown below. Press "Write ECC" and wait for it to finish. If the MHZ Option shows with the drop down, try 10 first. If this boots slowly or does not boot, try 27. Disconnect your NAND Programmer from the console and press the Eject Button to boot your console into XELL Reloaded. If all went well with your RGH Install, you should now see XELL Reloaded on your screen. This should only take up to 2 minutes. If it takes longer than 60 seconds on average, try an alternative timing file first as explained above. No boot still? CHECK YOUR WIRING! Once the console boots into XELL Reloaded Note down your CPU Key and Input this into the CPU Key section in J-Runner. You will now see your console details. Now we will build the RGH3 NAND Ensure the Console Type shows your console type, Select "Glitch2", then tick the RGH3 Tickbox, like shown in the photo above. This time, press "Create XeBuild Image" and wait for it to finish. If the MHZ Option shows with the drop down, try 10 first. If this boots slowly or does not boot, try 27. If your console does not boot on either 10/27MHZ options, change your resistor for a LOWER one EG if you used 22k, try 10k J-Runner will automatically select the newly built RGH3 NAND. If you haven't already, turn off your Xbox, reconnect the NAND Programmer, and then click the "Write NAND" button to flash the new RGH3 NAND to your make sure you have J-Runner with Extras. You need this tool to read/write your NAND and prepare the RGH2 built nand which you'll convert later in the guide. Links to J-Runner can be found just above these spoilers. Also make sure you downloaded the RGH 2 to RGH3 Converter Tool, which can be found in the spoiler below Step 1 Connect your NAND Reader to your Xbox, and to your PC. If all went well with your RGH Install, you should now see XELL Reloaded on your screen. This should only take up to 2 minutes. If it takes longer than 60 seconds on average, try an alternative timing file first as explained above. No boot? Phats try 10mhz First, then 20mhz timing. No boot still? CHECK YOUR WIRING! Once the console boots into XELL Reloaded Note down your CPU Key and Input this into the CPU Key section in J-Runner, then create a new RGH NAND Select "Glitch2", Make sure "Kernel Version" is "17559", press "Create XEBuild Image". DO NOT FLASH THE RGH2 FILE! Now it's time to convert the RGH2 NAND to RGH3 The new RGH3 NAND Creator Tool is by far the easiest method of converting RGH2 NANDs to RGH3. If you get stuck, read the status message in the app. It will tell you what you're doing wrong!Open "RGH2 to 3 GUI" in the RGH 3 Tool Folder Drag and drop the RGH2 NAND File J-Runner created for you earlier onto the "Drag and Drop your RGH2 NAND here" section Enter your CPU Key. You can also copy + paste it there if easier Select your Xbox 360 Type. Open the Console Type Spoiler for the next steps Select the your Motherboard Type Select 10mhz first and try that. If your console doesn't boot, or you didn't have success with Xell on 10mhz, use 27MHZ. What are you waiting for? Press GO! Select your Motherboard Type What are you waiting for? Press GO! Once the Tool finishes making your NAND, it will appear in the RGH3Tool Folder next to the EXE. If you need to rebuild the NAND, or you want to make another NAND, press Reset to start again. If you haven't already done so, turn off your Xbox, leave the power connected, and reconnect your NAND Programmer. Use J-Runner to write the newly made RGH3NAND File to your Xbox by dragging the file to J-Runner's Load Source box as shown below, then press "Write NAND". Once this is finished, you're done! Use the power button as normal to attempt to boot your newly RGH3 Modified console to the Dashboard. Make sure you disconnect the NAND Programmer first! If you're curious, click the little "Credz" button for a neat little shrine to everyone involved in creating RGH3 and it's tools Once this finishes, your console is now ready! Disconnect your NAND Programmer and attempt to boot using the power button. Within 60 seconds or so, you should boot into the Dashboard. Most consoles will Instaboot, you may have to try different timings and or resistor values. As long as it boots, you're free to put it back together and enjoy your new Homebrew enabled Xbox 360! In the 2x photo's they only show where one end of the SMC PLL and the SMC POST1 wires solder to the points on the board.
